The Canon XA70 is a 4K professional video camera that packs many pro features into a compact body Easy to use, this professional camcorder is suitable for documentary filmmaking, journalism and many more applications where 3G-SDI is not required. Shoot high quality HD video with outstanding Over Sampled HD processing, capturing incredible footage via the 1.0-inch type CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 processing, entrusting Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF and 15x optical zoom lens to ensure everything is sharp. And when you want to share a live video feed, opt for HD livestreaming in UVC¹ via USB-C. The Canon XA70 can record in two modes – XF-AVC or MP4 – while recorded footage can easily be incorporated into a wider professional workflow thanks to an HDMI output.

Capture stunning 4K UHD and superior Full HD images thanks to a 1.0-inch Type CMOS 4K sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor. Over Sampled HD processing delivers Full HD images from the sensor
The Canon lens covers a 25.5 – 382 mm (35 mm equivalent) range. A digital zoom boosts to 300x with 5-axis image stabilisation
Adjustable focusing speeds and advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF give fast and precise focusing
Use the 3.5-inch LCD display to set focus by touching the AF point required. Face Detection AF and Face Tracking are available while Manual Focus is set via the focus/zoom ring
Choose from XF-AVC or MP4 recording formats. Record XF-AVC 4K UHD 160 Mbps at 25P, plus Full HD 45 Mbps at 50P/50i/25P. For smaller files, record MP4 4K 150 Mbps at 25P and Full HD 35 Mbps or 17 Mbps at 50P/25P
Output options include simultaneous backup and relay recording via dual SD card and Infrared mode
For creative video, record Slow Motion in Full HD 0.5x or Fast Motion in 4K/Full HD up to 1200x. Colour match with other Canon cameras via the custom picture menu
Stream HD footage via UVC¹ over a computer or add a date and time stamp with OSD recording. Two XLR terminals on a detachable handle plus 4-channel linear PCM bring pro audio options
